SS, Nana & Grand Min
SS finally met her Nana and her Grand Min. In true SS fashion she did not utter their names during their two encounters. Thankfully, grandparents are forgiving creatures and did not seem to mind. SS parrots almost everything we say, yet her name and thank you are three words that have yet to be spoken, much to our chagrin. SS raked in the loot yesterday and even today. Yesterday during lunch, SS garbled a tuneless song, but smartly accompanied it with cool high chair dancing. This led her grandmothers to think that SS has musical talent. This morning SS was rewarded for her lack of talent with a cool baby toy piano. We had been looking at getting a toy piano for SS after her music class, but she has so many unused toys that we could not justify the purchase. Nana and Grand Min took care of our conscience.

Such a cute photo! Is this in Puerto Rico and is this her grandma and great-grandma?
We are still home. The woman on the left is M, SS's paternal grandmother. The woman on the right is M's wife, (also M) SS's other paternal grandmother.
Gotcha! Have a great trip. Have you thought of maybe just taking some picture flash cards for SS on the plane? Or even an Etch-a-Sketch that she could fiddle with?
Sally,
SS does have a M@gna D00dle that she likes. We are planning on buying her a smaller version. I really like the idea about the flash cards. Thanks for the tip.
Just thought of something - how about a giganticus book of stickers and a big plain tablet of paper - so she can turn the pages to her heart's content - to stick them on.
Sally,
I really like your thinking. Just yesterday I saw a very thick book of stickers at Costco. Who cares if they end up all over her face, ours, and anyone within her reach? As long as SS does not do her banshee impression... Thanks.
