SS was up at 3:00 a.m., bright eyed and bushy tailed. She did go to bed just before 8:00 p.m., but still, SS should be sleeping at least ten hours. She threw a royal tantrum just before falling asleep. I think all the errand running and heat got to her. Lots to do, so I better get going.
SS rocking the Phyll*s D*ller look. She just loves those fru fru slippers. When we go to the pool she begs to wear them. Where did I go wrong? All I wanted was a terrific tomboy? P says that SS is both, as he can envision her whipping boy's butts in the near future. We'll see. SS's grandmothers gave her the slippers and the "special occasion pajamas." We did not know such a thing existed, we thought special occasions were to be celebrated naked.
Mama, isn't it wonderful to be up before everyone around you?
We have officially become "those parents." We are tagging our daughter. We are not thrilled at having SS wear these around her ankle, but we must. We have a 28-month old who does not say her name. When we decided to keep her Chinese name, we thought it would help, as she had been hearing it for 15 months. Not in the cards for us. By the way, the Spanish translation to "if I'm lost" reads "if they lose me." Great parental ego booster. SS's ankles, like her wrists, are so small, that this thing is going to look awkward.

Be still my heart. I have had a lifetime with pink fuzzy slippers. Nothin' better. SS has excellent taste.
